Give a poor girl a few ingredients and she'll make you a meal with ingredients not sold in stores
Poor girl
I made ribs today. I had them in the freezer all week. Craving the smoky bbq on top. The corn on the cob. A week. I almost lost my chance at having the sweet taste of corn. I just didnt have it. I didn't have the funds for the potatoes and bbq. Today I made it happen. I spent my last couple of dollars to make sure my son had water and I had the ingredients needed for dinner. But I made it happen.
I made the meal I've waited all week to make but the meal wasn't the prize. I thought that was the prize. But, The prize it turned out wasn't the ribs I had been craving or the corn on the cob. It was the smile on my son's face. The prize was my son telling me he wanted Brussels sprouts for a veggie side. (I taught him well) the real prizes though were the smile on my son's face when I asked him how the food was and he said "it's so good I almost cried" as he sat on my bed watching Brooklyn nine-nine with me as we enjoyed dinner together for the first time in years.
only thing missing was my partner.
